We are seeking an experienced Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team. The Infant/Toddler Teacher is part of a team which provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children enrolled in our program. This position will actively participate and help plan all activities scheduled, prioritizing care for children in the Infant and Toddler classrooms. The position is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with families. Our Teachers must have a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior when dealing with infants and toddlers.


· Must be at least 18 years’ old.

· Must have at least 12 months’ experience working with children in a classroom or camp setting.

· Must have a minimum of 15 College Units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Physical Education, or any courses within the Social Science field (transcripts required), 3 of these units must be specific to coursework related to Infants/Toddlers.

· Before starting, employees will need to be fingerprinted through the DOJ and FBI.

· Before starting, employees will be screened through the CA Sexual Offenders website (Megan’s Law).

· Before starting, a TB Test and a Health Screening will be required.

· Employee will have 90 days from hire date to take The Y’s Child Abuse Awareness Training, as well as other YMCA development trainings.

· Starting Oct 1, 2021, any new hires will be required to show proof of full vaccination prior to employment or if applicable, request a medical or religious exemption.
