D’Argenzio Winery and tasting room is hiring for a part-time DTC rockstar who can lead our tasting room and event operations.

We are a boutique, family-owned winery located near the heart of Santa Rosa. All of our wines are small-batch with a focus on artisan quality. From the moment our guests enter to the moment they leave, we aim for them to feel like they are a part of our family while maintaining excellence in professionalism and efficiency. Our tasting room is open on the weekends and we frequently host private and public events during our off hours. Additionally, we offer a limited food menu from our sister restaurant next door.

As tasting room lead, your primary responsibility will be to ensure our guests and wine club members have a pleasant and memorable experience. While overseeing employees, you will educate patrons on our wines and answer any questions. A solid foundation of wine/industry knowledge is preferred, and a passion to know more is required.

In addition to working in the tasting room and during events, you will also assume the role of winery assistant; This will be a versatile, goal-driven aspect of your position. Working alongside the owners, you will complete tasks related to the technical success of the winery. Please be eager to take initiative! As this is position requires diversity and leadership, you MUST BE RELIABLE!!

The position will be part-time, about 20 hours a week. The primary work days will be during the weekend, but due to the nature of event schedules and winery tasks, your flexibility for availability is required.

Candidate will be working with our small team with day to day operations including but not limited to:
- Reporting, purchasing, and monitoring inventory.
- Hosting, bartending and managing public and private events, assuring successful execution.
- Overseeing logistical day-to-day operations including employees, and opening/closing procedures.
- Periodically attending trade events and other outreach relations nearby hotels, tourist center, wineries, etc.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies, including educating and guiding other staff.
- Strategize sales and move/sell wine inventory.
- Ensure the tasting room is clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing at all times.
- Occasional light cleaning and dishes.
- Act on the importance of organic sales and customer-to-wine club member conversions.
- Learn the menu at our sister restaurant and provide full service to guests who wish to dine.
- Efficiently attend to guests with a warm, personable demeanor while balancing the responsibility of multiple tasks.
- Maintain professionalism and a priority for cooperation with coworkers.
- Prioritize providing a memorable experience for guests and wine club members.

- Knowledge of wines and passion to learn more.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Organizational, creative and analytical skills.
- Professional and self-motivated.
- DTC on-premise and periodic off‐premise sales.
- Reliable with a goal driven personality.
- High attention to details and ability to multitask

Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
- RELIABLE
- Dependable transportation
- Work successfully with little oversight as well as with others
- Flexibility in scheduling, weekend availability is a must
- Personable and friendly
- Groomed appearance
- Must be able to lift and carry a case of wine (about 40 pounds)
