SMART Train 

Starting service in 2017, Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) is a passenger rail and bicycle-pedestrian pathway project located in Marin and Sonoma counties. It will serve a 70-mile corridor from Larkspur to Cloverdale, with the first phase from San Rafael to Santa Rosa currently in operation.

With warm spring and summer months, cycling provides a healthy commuting alternative for Sonoma County workers. Local buses make taking the green option all the more easy, with bike racks on many local buses. Sonoma County also benefits from miles of designated cycle paths, both for recreation and the commute.
